From the inception of A.J. Adam Engineering, LLC, many of our earliest clients were in the healthcare sector. Here at A.J. Adam Engineering, LLC we take great pride in the wide range of engineering services we offer to the education sector and specifically to Pre-K through 12 (early learning programs, elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools). Over the years we have assisted both private and public education systems with building brand new schools as well as the renovation of existing facilities, including large systemic renovation projects. Construction budgets ranged from as little as $500,000 to as large as $50,000,000. On these projects, we served either as the prime project consultant, sub-consultant to the project architects, commissioning agent (CxA), or third-party QA/QC reviewers. Commercial Projects
We provide our commercial clients a full line of MEP services for different project types such as office buildings, mixed-use residential properties, retail stores, tenant fit-outs, etc. We offer services for both new construction and renovation projects. We can accommodate our commercial clients by delivering projects either as Design-Build or as traditional Design-Bid-Build. We work closely with our clients to provide comfortable, energy-efficient designs that can be built on budget and on time. We are skilled in working with local code officials in areas with stringent code requirements to accelerate the permitting process. Our staff has proven extremely knowledgeable in coordinating with various permit offices throughout the northeastern United States.
Religious Institutions
A.J. Adam Engineering, LLC has designed many projects for religious institutions belonging to a variety of faith communities. Our projects include renovations and expansions of existing facilities. We focus on providing simple MEP systems that the members can maintain themselves, rather than opting for more complex systems which, while possibly more energy efficient, would periodically require expensive professional maintenance services. Also, we have prepared many engineering studies and master-planning services to help religious groups prepare for expansion of their facilities.
Dining and Food Service
We have provided design services for numerous food service facilities, ranging from small dining areas with warming kitchens to full-service restaurants with formal dining rooms and large-scale commercial kitchens. We work directly with the chefs and kitchen staff to develop the appropriate kitchen layout, and can collaborate either with kitchen design specialists or directly with kitchen equipment suppliers to select and specify the food preparation equipment to make the design a reality.
Athletic and Aquatic Facilities
A.J. Adam Engineering has designed MEP systems for a number of athletic fields, gymnasiums, and natatoriums (indoor swimming pools). We understand the particular technical challenges related to these facilities – particularly ventilation, humidity control, and air conditioning, as well as appropriate lighting. We are well-versed on the complex HVAC requirements design for swimming pools and have produced multiple successful natatorium projects.
